For 47 years, Strawberry Festival has been a summer highlight for many. This year it runs 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Beaver Lake Park on Sunday, July 7th. Don't miss the pony rides, arts & crafts, interactive sports and games, as well as; information displays, live entertainment, pie eating contest, and a model boat display. Don't forget to indulge in a little summer sweetness with the traditional serving of strawberries and ice cream at 2:00 pm for the unbeatable price of $0.50. Part of Saanich Sunfest.

On July 28th, the Colwood Rotary Club will host our 2nd Annual Art & Wine Festival at picturesque Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites overlooking the Salish Sea & the Olympic Mountains. Our festival brings community together for a great time while raising awareness & funds for Rotary community service projects that improve quality of life for people here at home & around the world. Over 30 local artists, Samplings of wines from Vancouver Island & BC wineries, Art Demos, Music by Island Big Band & other local muscians.

Colwood Rotary's Art & Wine Festival brings BC & island wineries & local artists together at a picturesque oceanside setting. A ticket gains entrance to Fort Rodd Hill, a keep-sake glass, five samples of wine, appetizing bites from WestShore's top chefs & the opportunity to view the works of local artists while enjoying local musicians. Proceeds from this event go towards Rotary projects.

The Sip & Savour Salt Spring Festival brings together growers, food providers & chefs from the island & neighbouring Gulf Islands, Cowichan Valley & Saanich Peninsula, & partners them with BC vintners.

Salt Spring's known as Canada's organic capital. It's small family farms, artisan food providers & fishing community provide a bountiful harvest of fresh, delicious fruits & vegetables, breads & cheeses, free-range eggs, lamb, fresh crab, mussels & oysters, & in September, local sockeye salmon.

Events include winemaker's dinners, a grazing experience, a Saturday market, winery & farm tours, & opportunities to visit a spa or yoga studio, dine at any of the island's excellent restaurants & enjoy live entertainment.
