Visitors are invited to participate in mini-workshops facilitated by experienced maple syrup producers, including tapping demonstrations, presentations & displays. This year's event features cooking with local maple syrup & maple food will be available. The festival features a maple syrup competition with judging by celebrity chefs from Vancouver Island. The evaporator will be running all day so visitors can savour the warm maple aroma of sap & see how syrup is made. Train rides every 1/2 hour and Special Admission price.

Our goal was and remains to bring lovers of the book, be they readers, writers or publishers, together in a fun, informal and educational festival. The 2015 Galiano Literary Festival will begin with a Welcome Reception at the Galiano Inn which gives guest authors a chance to meet each other and the other attendees at the festival. Participants will be treated to a variety of sessions throughout Saturday and Sunday.

Every Thursday night from May - August, the Town's charming main street is closed to traffic and transformed into one of the most spectacular, festive street markets in British Columbia. With over 150 vendors offering everything from locally grown produce, handmade jewellery, one of a kind clothing, toys, flowers, handmade soaps, home-made breads, jams, fudge and so much more; there is something for everyone in the family! The Market attracts up to 5,000 people a night who all come to savour the flavours, see the sights and listen to the sounds of a myriad of musical performers.
