Every July 1st, it's free admission at Fort Rodd Hill & Fisgard Lighthouse National Historic Sites. Parks Canada invites you to celebrate Canada Day in one of Victoria's most popular places to explore or relax. From 11:30 am to 4:00 pm, come join the festivities. There will be a giant birthday cake, many children's activities, food concessions & live performances by military & community bands. Phone for more information.

Our annual Canada Day event is being held at the Mesachie Lake Hall & Ball Field. Everyone is welcome! Something for the whole family. Multi-cultural theatre, dancing, storytelling, arts & Crafts & food. As well as face painting, games & local folklore for the whole family. Help us celebrate our home in Canada with some birthday cake, promotional materials, fireworks & more. Event is free for the whole family.

64th Annual Saturna Island Lamb Barbeque is on Monday, July 1, 2013. We will serve approximately 1300 meals to tourists from all over the world. The proceeds go to supporting our Community's many activities & the Community Hall. Tickets available at the gate. Gate opens at 10am. Cost: Adults - $20 Children under 12 - $10. Tickets can be pre-booked for groups of 6 or more but not prepaid. Meal served from 2- 3pm. Alternate food available (i.e. vegetarian, hamburgers etc.). Free shuttle service from BC Ferry to site & from ship to shore at Winter Cove.
