Ocean's Day has been celebrated worldwide since 1992, when it was declared a celebratory day to care for our oceans at the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit. On June 8th, many partners in Campbell River are coming together to help make this a fun-filled family event. Most of the activity will take place around the Maritime Heritage Centre. Past events have included such things as Coast Guard Tour of Point Race, Free Fishing at the Pier, Aquaculture info, DFO demo of the ROV Remotely operated vehicle, free tours at the centre, Pirate Bounce-A-Rama, Dunk Tank & music.
