Parksville Quilthouse Quilters are hosting the Generations to Generations Quilt Show at the Oceanside Place Arena, Parksville BC on May 29-31 1915. Hundreds of beautiful quilts including antique quilts, youth quilts, and every type of quilt in between. There will be 4 fantastic raffle quilts, door prizes, fiber arts, a merchant mall, a tea room, demos and a large bouitique all under the same roof. Lots of parking. Rip Curl Pro Tofino is Canada's largest surfing competition and the only one in Canada open to all divisions. Sanctioned by the Canadian Surfing Association, it's also the Canadian Surfing Championship. The annual surf competition provides an arena for competitive surfing in Canada. The divisions for the event are: Pro Men, Pro Women, Masters, Men's Longboard, Women's Longboard, Junior Men, Junior Women, and Children. The CSA recognition means that the Rip Curl Pro Tofino will deliver a national champion in each of these divisions.

Ocean's Day has been celebrated worldwide since 1992, when it was declared a celebratory day to care for our oceans at the Rio de Janeiro Earth Summit. On June 6th, many partners in Campbell River are coming together to help make this a fun-filled family event. Most of the activity will take place around the Maritime Heritage Centre. Past events have included such things as Coast Guard Tour of Point Race, Free Fishing at the Pier, Aquaculture info, DFO demo of the ROV Remotely operated vehicle, free tours at the centre, Pirate Bounce-A-Rama, Dunk Tank & music.
