The next new moon is on August 25 and what better way is there to celebrate a new moon that with a meditation in the forest to begin manifesting our desires into the new months? New moons are great for setting intentions for the following month and for getting clear on the things that we want in our lives! We are planning to do a meditation on Nile Creek along with a hike and swim. Hike begins at 10:00 am and will take approximately 4 hours including mediation and swimming time! Cost to take part, without transport, is $40 per person. Space is limited so please book ahead of time.

2014 will be the 37th Victoria Classic Boat Festival. The Victoria Classic Boat Festival is a juried event that has been held in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada for 37 years. The Festival attracts the finest power, sail, & steam boats from the Pacific Northwest & around the world. A number of the vessels will be open to the public over the weekend in addition to the activity of the smaller boats, motor & steam running around the harbour. The Sunday morning Sailpast is always a great spectacle.

The Annual Carving on the Edge Festival celebrates the work of both traditional and contemporary wood carving artists; the 10-day festival includes a fine art wood carving show, demonstrations on traditional canoe-building, Nuu-chah-nulth paddle-making, mask making, burl wood carving, tool-making, and traditional designs. Presentations by master carvers, storytelling events, and family carving workshops for all ages.
