The Vancouver, Coast & Mountains region has a number of provincial parks to explore, which have landscapes ranging from steep mountains to gentle coastlines.

There are many opportunities to spot wildlife on land and in the water. Wildlife viewing can be part of a guided tour or an added bonus on excursions to parks or while driving in the region.

Join a bear-watching tour in Whistler or see grizzly bears at the Grouse Mountain Refuge for Endangered Wildlife in Vancouver. Whale-watching tours leave from Vancouver and Richmond, and head out in search of Orcas and other marine mammals. Birders can spot bald eagles in Brackendale, sandhill cranes at Reifel Migratory Bird Sanctuary, or raptors at Boundary Bay Regional Park.
