This is a day for family fun with astronomy & this year we'll have our 2 brand new solar telescopes available for safe viewing the sun in the afternoon, fun activities for the kids, astronomical displays and info on how to join the Royal Astronomical Society!

At dusk there'll be a multi-media presentation in the amphitheatre followed by dark sky viewing in the park picnic area with telescopes provided by club members.

This event is free to the public and is weather permitting.

Set atop scenic Grouse Mountain, the Artists for Conservation Festival is one of the world's largest gatherings of nature artists.

It is a signature cultural event featuring nine days of art and environmental education.

The event connects people to nature through a world-class international art exhibit, lectures, workshops, live artist demos, First Nations performances and film.

The festival features an extraordinary educational program of nature in art involving some of the leading nature and wildlife artists and naturalists from around the world, as well as youth nature-and-art workshops (grades 3-10) in the most inspiring of settings.
