An Ad-rap-tation of Shakespeare's The Comedy of Errors

A fast-paced, musical "ad-rap-tation" of Shakespeare's comedy of mistaken identities, this show infuses Elizabethan times with hip-hop flavour. The actors sing, rap, and rhyme catchy and laugh-out-loud songs that retain much of the Bard's original text-all while a DJ spins original music onstage. The tale involves not one but two sets of twins who grow up unaware of his zygote-mate's existence, but, fear not, their lives will indeed intersect in hilarious and madcap ways. It's a comedy, after all.

In the world of jazz, there are 2 types of performers, those who play for themselves and those who play for their audience. Jesse is definitely the latter. With rave reviews as a singer songwriter from distinguished jazz artists Ingrid Jensen and Diana Krall, Jesse's texture honours influences like Frank Sinatra and Tony Bennett which is fused into the modern sound he recreates every time he sits in front of a piano and microphone.

From classic jazz and blues covers, to his own compositions like Face Time, played on CBC, you'll be enchanted by this Canadian gem. Let go and let the music and his performance draw you in for the ride.
