Abbotsford International Airshow began in 1962 when the recently formed Abbotsford Flying Club decided an airshow would be an effective way to promote flying from Abbotsford Airport. The Airshow is an aviation festival that has grown well beyond its borders over the past 5 decades. With a role from very early on as a significant stop on the 'Airshow Circuit,' Abbotsford has distinguished itself as an event on aviation excellence, aerospace advancement & community participation.
The line-up includes fighter jets, experimental aircraft, cargo planes, vintage, helicopters, small corporate jets & speciality surveillance planes.

Langley, British Columbia
Saturday, September 06, 2014
This show was started in 1997 as a way to encourage people to visit downtown Langley and to bring more business to the downtown shops and restaurants. When the organizers found how popular the event is, they turned it into a charity fundraiser too. Here we are 17 years later and this show has grown beyond the wildest dreams of the original organizers yet we still hold it for the same reasons, to bring people to downtown Langley and to raise money for local charities. Our show, as usual, occupies the first Saturday after Labour Day. This year that is Saturday September 6th, 2014. As usual, we will have our swap meet and car corral the next day, Sunday, September 7th.
