Several renowned galleries are dedicated to Aboriginal art and display impressive totem poles, masks, carvings, paintings, jewellery and crafts.

Communities such as Hope and Abbotsford put their love of art on public display, with artwork adorning parks and other prominent locations. Others celebrate the arts with annual festivals.

Enjoy the warmth of our Aboriginal Summer Village in Stanley Park this summer. Klahowya Village is a family-friendly Aboriginal cultural experience that features daily Aboriginal cultural performances, artisans & demonstrations. After a successful fourth season in 2013, the Village now features more than 20 interactive & visual displays linked to a Klahowya Village 'passport' that includes a download code for the audio story of the 'Journey of the Salmon' on iTunes, a season pass to ride the miniature train, admission to a craft workshop, colouring pages, & an area to collect stamps from interactive display stations.

This season's story, 'Journey of the Salmon', focuses on the significance of the salmon from an Aboriginal culture point of view as we celebrate the four-year cycle of the returning salmon.

One of the oldest community museums in the province of British Columbia, its collection of artifacts began in 1928. Its doors have been open to the public since 1958 & its permanent displays range from a presentation of First Nation artifacts to stories of early Langley pioneers & merchants. It's rotating temporary exhibitions include contemporary & historic artwork to local history themes.

The Museum's giftshop features many unique items like glass, jewellery, clothing & artworks by local & provincial artisans intermingled with books about local & regional history. The Museum offers a wide range of public & school programs.
