The Thompson Okanagan region offers ample opportunities for dogsledding from November through April.

Glide through snowy landscapes pulled by a team of enthusiastic sled dogs; tours often provide the option to sit in the sled or to learn basic dog-handling techniques and drive the sled.

Two popular locales for dogsledding tours are Clearwater and Valemount, both of which are close by the renowned yet remote Wells Gray Provincial Park and Mount Robson Provincial Park, two vast areas of protected wilderness.

You can also try a dogsledding tour at family-friendly Sun Peaks Resort, which is near Kamloops and also offers other winter activities, such as skiing and snowboarding, and sleigh rides.
