Where? On the XC mountain bike trails starting at mid-mountain & backcountry xc ski trails at Sun Peaks (not the downhill trails). A new course map will be made soon for both the Elite & Classic Race.

What is the XC Marathon? Choose a distance 20 km, 40 km or 60 km - There will be a 20 km marked course so pick your distance & complete 1 lap, 2 laps or 3 laps as a solo rider OR get a team of 3 together & complete the ride as a relay where everyone does one lap of 20 km.

The Kelowna Branch Okanagan Historical Society will be holding their annual Family Pioneer Picnic behind Parkinson Recreation Centre, next to the creek on Sunday, July 27 from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm.

This year the Picnic will be recognizing the arrival of Rutland families to the area.

All Okanagan Historical Society Members and Pioneers are welcome, and bring your families!

Please also bring a bag lunch. Coffee, juice, cake and ice cream will be provided to everyone free of charge.

Society publications 'Kelowna Street Names - Their Origins', as well as our Annual historical reports will be available for purchase.

The Pow Wow is a spectacular expression of the Secwepemc people's heritage and is a vibrant display of storytelling, song and dance in traditional regalia. The Kamloopa Pow Wow represents many years of stories and events from previous years packed into 3 exciting days at the Secwepemc Pow Wow Grounds located 2 min from the city centre, alongside the South Thompson River in Kamloops.
