Rootin' Tootin' good old fashioned cowboy & cowgirl events in a rustic setting every Father's Day weekend. Bull riding, barrel racing, steer wrestling, bareback & bronc riding, Tie Down & Team Roping. And for the younger ones we have junior & pee wee barrel racing and junior steer riding. Concessions, beverage gardens, covered grandstands and a Saturday night dance held at our local downtown hockey arena from 9:00 pm to 1:00 am (no minors please). Come on down and enjoy the excitement!

Enter Salmon Arm's Team Triathlon. Race course includes 35 km bike race, 10 km run & an 8 km canoe/kayak paddle from Canoe Beach to Salmon Arm Bay wharf. When possible, separate categories created for recreational & competitive participants. Check our website for 2013 dates and times.

Triathlon sponsored by Pharmasave welcomes adults and kids ages 7 to 12 to participate. Adults: 750 m swim, 20 km bike and 5 km run starts at 9:30 am. Kids: 100 m swim, 6 km bike and 2 km run. Start time 8:30 am.

Kingfisher Community Farmers' Market is located at the Community Hall in Mabel Lake on Wednesdays in July and August. The market includes baked goods, bread & buns, pies & tarts, beeswax dipped candles, ceramics, honey, jewelry, local produce, plants, pottery and smoked meats. The cafeteria includes coffee, tea and baked goods.

This annual First Nations celebration includes dancing, singing, crafts, food concessions and traditional foods such as bannock. The grand entry takes place at noon on both days. Open to the public and free admission!

North America's largest co-ed slo-pitch tournament with more than 5,000 players participating in this 29th annual event. From competitive to very recreational, players from across North America and as far away as New Mexico, participate in this award winning tournament.

With the beautiful Okanagan as a background, Funtastic sells out each year, especially the highly popular Costume Division. Funtastic occurs over the July long weekend starting on June 28 and also hosts an outdoor music festival presenting some of the biggest names in classic rock such as Kim Mitchell and Nazareth. Be sure to register your team online early.

The 29th Funtastic Sport & Music Festival is North America's Largest Slo-pitch Tournament & Music Festival. Every July long weekend since 1985, visitors and locals play ball by day and enjoy classic rock under the stars each night.

Classic rock fans come from far and wide to enjoy great music, good friends and beautiful lakes around Vernon. As well as 3 nights of Rock & Roll, you can golf, enjoy the beaches, cruise on a pontoon boat, water ski, or visit the Farmers Market and Silver Star Resort, or just kick back and enjoy the days catching some slo-pitch.
