While shopping in the Thompson Okanagan is as varied as the landscape, there are three things you'll find just about everywhere: wine, fruit and fruit products.

The epicentre of both the wine and orchard fruit industries in BC, this region has a veritable profusion of wonderful vineyards and orchards that welcome visitors for tours, sampling and shopping.

The main population centres of Kelowna, Kamloops and Penticton offer the greatest shopping selections. You'll find major retail chain stores, boutiques that specialize in locally made crafts and just about everything in between.

Kelowna has the greatest number of large chain stores but also offers eclectic boutique shopping along Spall Road and Pandosy Street as well as in Tutt Street Square. Kamloops' North Shore has an interesting mix of specialty, antique and second-hand shops while Penticton's Main and Front Streets contain a delightful mix of crafts, pottery, brass, Okanagan gourmet gifts, Aboriginal crafts and outdoor recreation equipment.
