Sun Peaks Resort prides itself on year-round family oriented and affordable outdoor activities. Winter brings downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, dogsledding, snowshoeing, and sleigh riding.
In summer, the focus shifts to hiking, golfing, mountain biking and fishing. Sun Peaks is also a micro-hub of foodie culture with food and wine festivals and fine dining onsite. Sun Peaks is just 45 minutes from Kamloops. It is an ideal escape from the daily rigors of city life.
Winter Activities
Sun Peaks is a three-mountain resort with ski-in and ski-out accommodation. Winter activities include downhill skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, dogsledding, snowshoeing and sleigh riding. Skiing with an Olympic gold medalist and World Cup Champion is also an option at Sun Peaks. Summer Activities
During the summer hiking, mountain biking, and golfing are main attractions at Sun Peaks. Chairlifts whisk guests above the village for some unique alpine hiking and mountain biking. Sun Peaks also offers horseback riding, canoe and kayak tours, and guided fishing.
The Village
Sun Peaks' intimate European-style village is nestled at the bottom of the resort's three mountains. The village has more than a dozen retail shops and boutiques, almost two dozen restaurants ranging from fine dining to pubs and cafés, and a variety of accomodations, all connected by covered walkways. Multiple plazas where visitor gather create a sense of community in the village.
The year-round Sports Centre, just off the main village, features a heated outdoor swimming pool, hot tub, and kid's wading pool. The centre also has two tennis courts, as well as an area for basketball and a fitness room. Tennis racquets and towels are available for rent.
Kids Programs
Sun Peaks offers a number of kids programs. The Sundance Kids Centre, suitable for children 18 months to five years of age, combines indoor play and outdoor activities. The Sports Centre, located near the village core and next to the Fireside Lodge and the Nancy Greene Cahilty Lodge, features a year round heated outdoor pool, hot tub, kid's pool, and tennis courts in the summer.
Sun Tots ski programs are for children three to five years of age, while Sun Kids programs are designed for children six to 12 years of age. Snowboard lessons are available for children beginning at the age of eight.
