Keep it cozy and head to one of several indoor parties for a Youth Dance or New Year's Eve Kids' Countdown or go out and enjoy the snow and twinkling lights with ice skating at Whistler Olympic Plaza. Top it all off with a special Fire & Ice Show and a dazzling midnight fireworks display. No need to drive - take advantage of the free extended Whistler Transit Service on New Year's Eve from 6:00 pm until 4:00 am.

Join us for a ticketed, family-style celebration at three different venues within Whistler Village. Bundle up the kids and explore what each venue has to offer between 6:00 pm and 11:00 pm

The ticketed fun ends at 11:00 pm and then there is a free Fire and Ice Show that starts at 11:30 pm at the base of Whistler Mountain. Be amazed by the ski and snowboard athletes as they leap through two giant rings of fire.

There will be a firework display at Skier's Plaza at midnight.

The Sigge's P'ayakentsut is an event for all ages and all levels of cross country skiers. Traversing Olympic legacy trails as well as old growth forests, the loppet offers participants a chance to train, to meet new friends, to enjoy the rugged wild beauty of the Callaghan Valley and to enjoy a what is truly a sport for life - cross country skiing. This year the event will take place over two days with the main loppet on Saturday and the kids tournament and youth ski cross on Sunday.

Whistler Cup returns for it's 23rd year and has grown to become the largest and most important ski race in North America, and internationally, for athletes aged 11 to 14 years. It is held under the auspice of FIS, the international governing body for alpine skiing, and with hundreds of young athletes from 23 countries participating, the Whistler Cup brings together children from many different cultures.
