Lots of sunshine and snow – 700cm/276in of dry powder on average every year – bring skiers and snowboarders to Silver Star Mountain Resort from late November through mid-April.

These conditions have repeatedly won the resort "Best Powder" accolades and a "Best Weather" award from Ski Canada Magazine.

Silver Star Terrain

The 1,328ha/3,282ac of terrain includes 130 runs. The longest is 8km/5mi and the maximum vertical is 760m/2,500ft. Look for green or blue ratings on 55 per cent of the runs; newbies can get started in special areas set aside for beginners.

Check out the glades and terrain features in the Attridge area or head for the steep and deep chutes of Putnam Creek off the Powder Gulch Express chair.
