Hard core riders know Silver Star Mountain Resort as an over-the-top mountain biking destination.
Its gnarly single-track downhill tracks test the best skills and turn in serious thrills. But this mountain also has an easy side, with scenic cross-country routes through the sub-alpine forest that welcome families and even gray hairs.
Hand-crafted Trails
Riders come to Silver Star Bike Park for 16 hand-crafted progression-style trails with loads of berms (banked turns) table tops and wooden features, 488m/1600ft of vertical and a quick lift to the top with minimal line-ups.
Diverse Terrain
Silver Star's varied terrain delivers trails to match every skill set and risk tolerance. Suicidal 10-year-olds, 20-something couples, families with kids in tow and even seniors can all find good riding. The 16 trails include 15% rated easy, 40% intermediate and 45% advanced.

Paradise Run
Easy riders can cruise Paradise, the longest run at Silver Star. This wide shale trail runs from summit to village. Connected with Easy Street it covers the full 488m/1600ft of vertical over a distance of 10km/6.2mi.
Advanced Biking Trails
World Cup is Silver Star's signature run. First opened for the 1994 Grundic World Cup event, the trail has been extended and upgraded. Riders spend more time in the air than on the ground on its black diamond jumps, berms and wall rides. For even more thrills, Dag's Downhill and Downtown rate as double black diamonds with dirt and wood features, rock drops, steeps and twisty forest single track.
Skills Area & Jump Park
The Vault is a progressive skills area with the full range of features designed to help riders of every level improve their skills. A beginner skills area is located near the bike rental shop in front of the Star Kidz Centre.
Comet Six Pack Express
Silver Star boasts Canada's largest mountain bike lift. The high speed detachable Comet Six Pack Express zooms riders to 488m/1600ft of vertical terrain in under eight minutes. Alternating chairs are fitted with roll-on bike carriers and lifties are on hand to help load and unload.
Guided Mountain Bike Tours
Silver Star newbies don't have to depend on maps to learn their way around the mountain. Experienced guides who know all the trails, conduct daily tours leaving from Ski Dazzle.
Bike Camps
Intermediate and advanced mountain bikers take it to the next level at Silver Star's one-day and four-day bike camps. And proving that this sport isn't just for the guys, Silver Star offers its popular ladies-only Chick's on Bikes camp.
Rentals & Repairs
Bike, helmet and armour rentals are available in the lower level of the Town Hall. The bike shop is also staffed and equipped to handle on-site repairs.
