It is a starry August night in rural Newfoundland; the year is 1926. Seventeen year old Mary Snow is star-gazing under a full moon as she waits for her fiancé, Jerome MacKenzie, to visit. A voice is heard in the distance, and Jacob Mercer, her former beau appears in the yard. Mary is taken aback to see Jacob as he had left Newfoundland for Toronto quite abruptly, one year before.

BC Cadet Honour Band Concert - Vernon

Vernon & District Performing Arts Centre
Vernon, British Columbia
V1T 5T6
Toll-free

Friday, March 20, 2015

The 45-piece BC Cadet Honour Band is the pinnacle of achievement for cadet musicians, who have worked years to achieve a high level of performance. Many are multi-talented, playing several instruments or adding vocals to the concert.

The competition to be part of the band is fierce and the experience is intense. Musicians learn a concert's worth of music in just three days and then tour the province performing each night in four different cities.

Featuring music from Disney's Frozen and The Hunger Games as well as a selection of military marches and a special Pipes & Drums performance, this one-night only, free performance by B.C.'s best cadet musicians should not be missed.
