Fun 30-hour event where volunteer scientists, families, students, teachers, and others work together to find and identify as many plants, animals, microbes, fungi, and other organisms as possible.
Count, map and learn. Work side-by-side with experts. Add to the site's official species list. Highlight the importance of protecting biodiversity of these extraordinary National Historic Sites.
Three ways to participate:
- Drop-in family activities on the beach, forest and meadow. Friday night and Saturday. No registration. Regular entry fees apply.
- Teachers, bring your students for a learning opportunity. Friday, May 22-International Biodiversity Day! School group entry fees apply. Please RSVP. pc.gc.ca/eng/lhn-nhs/bc/fortroddhill/edu/a.aspx
- Register as a volunteer expert/citizen scientist on May 22 and/or 23. Registered volunteers do not pay site entry fees.
