Sicamous is an ideal base for exploring a variety of attractions nestled in the forest along the Trans Canada Highway, just east of town. Traverse a suspension bridge 26m/85ft above a roaring gorge, zip between 800-year-old cedars, or visit the endpoint of Canada's first transcontinental railway.
Some attractions, such as the Enchanted Forest and Sky Trek Adventure Park provide a whole day of fun for the entire family, while others, such as Beardale Minatureland and Criagellachie take only short time to explore.
Hold on to the handrails and sway across the 73m/239.5ft Crazy Creek Suspension Bridge (only a four-minute walk from the parking area just off the Trans-Canada Highway). The view of Crazy Creek Waterfalls is excellent from both the bridge and several timber platforms built lower down in the gorge.
Many features of the site are open year-round, including hot pools, a camping area, snack bar, picnic area, and gift shop, while the suspension bridge is open mid-May to the end of October. Crazy Creek Suspension Bridge is about a 15-minute drive east of Sicamous.
