The Cowichan Aboriginal Festival of Film & Art is a celebration of Aboriginal filmmakers, artists & performance artists. The Festival is a welcoming & inclusive showcase of the amazing community of skilled Aboriginal professionals who use film & art to tell their own stories in their own words.
Set in the picturesque Cowichan Valley on southern Vancouver Island, the Festival is a wonderful medley of tradition, culture, art & entertainment.
Aboriginal filmmakers & collaborators who create the films & the people who attend & show their support have the capacity to build bridges between cultures & dissolve ignorance & misunderstanding. The Cowichan Aboriginal Festival of Film & Art showcases emerging and established Aboriginal filmmakers.
The Cowichan Aboriginal Festival of Film & Art is supported by the Cowichan Tribes, the City of Duncan & the surrounding community.
