The Sechelt Farmers' & Artisans' Market is the largest outdoor market on the Sunshine Coast. Operating rain or shine from April through the end of September, artists and produce growers from everywhere on the Sechelt Peninsula call this market "home" on Saturdays. Every year Gibsons has a wonderful Canada Day Ceremony at Winegarden Park next to the harbour. The views are spectacular & it's a great event to enjoy some local entertainment & bring a picnic or grab some yummy take out.

The 47th Annual Halfmoon Bay Country Fair will be held July 12-14 2013 at Coopers Green in Halfmoon Bay. There will be a Kids Fishing Derby on Saturday in the morning, a Family Dinner/Dance on Saturday evening, a Pancake Breakfast on Sunday morning & Craft Booths, Bingo & Beer Garden on Sunday.

The 6th Annual Astronomy in the Park Poropoise Bay Park, Sechelt, BC. This is a day for family fun with astronomy & this year we'll have our 2 brand new solar telescopes available for safe viewing the sun in the afternoon, fun activities for the kids, astronomical displays and info on how to join the Royal Astronomical Society!

At dusk there'll be a multi-media presentation in the amphitheatre followed by dark sky viewing in the park picnic area with telescopes provided by club members.

This event is free to the public and is weather permitting.
