Highway 97B connects Salmon Arm with the Thompson Okanagan Valley to the south.
Car Travel
Many outdoor attractions are accessible on paved roads, but four-wheel or all-wheel-drive vehicles, equipped with winter tires in season, are best suited for backcountry travel. Rental cars are available at several locations.

Salmon Arm has no public transit system, but a private bus service, operated by KIA Transit Ltd, connects downtown Salmon Arm with Canoe and Silver Creek. Two taxi companies provide local area service.
