The Rio Tinto Alcan Dragon Boat Festival centers around the Dragon Boat races. The Festival was created to show off Vancouver's growing cultural diversity and to promote racial harmony among Canadians, new and old. Twenty-four years later the festival still fulfills its mandate to promote cultural harmony and has developed into one of Vancouver's most anticipated summer family events.

The Festival supports a marketplace with art, international products, delicious food and drinks. There is something for everyone at this annual event.
