We know the kids are already picking out their outfits for Halloween and we want to see those costumes! We have lots of activities for the little ones between 12:00 pm and 5:30 pm.

Festivities include: Halloween story time; kids crafts and mini pumpkin decorating; trick-or-treating on the retail level; face painting; Halloween movie.

Chairs and mats will be provided for the film. And of course, it wouldn't be a movie screening without FREE popcorn!

All kids Halloween activities will take place in our special, spooky Halloween room on the Retail Level, near Sparky's Kutz for Kidz and the children's ballroom.

Pirate House is an annual Halloween pirate-themed yard display in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada which was created to celebrate "honourable pirates" and raise funds for the St. Stephen Children's Centre, a grassroots organization helping AIDS-impacted children and community members in Makondo Parish, Uganda.

The display will be open to visitors from 5:00 pm-8:00 pm.

Exploring the scope and depth of her Mexican culture and bringing her curiosity over its marvelous reality and surrealism as the starting point for this work, Vancouver's Salomé Nieto uses religious iconography, beliefs and traditions as inspiration for this work. An investigation into the themes of devotion, ritual and myth, Camino al Tepeyac is a metaphor for the convergence of two cultural and religious beliefs in one female deity that is the origin and end of all things. The Aztecs called her Tonancin (Our Mother Coatlicue) and after the conquest her name became Virgin of Guadalupe and the Mother of the Mexican people in the Catholic faith.

During the event the CGCC will be joined by a country band, their mascot (Charlie Horse), the Calgary Stampede Queen, her two Princesses, the Indian Princess and 2 members of city council.

The CGCC has been going to the host Grey Cup city every year since 1948 promoting the City of Calgary and the Calgary Stampede. Today's CGCC consists of over 75 volunteers who work tirelessly for 12 months planning logistics and events.
