While most visitors arrive in Radium Hot Springs in their own car, recreational vehicle or motorcycle, there are other options for transportation and getting around town.
Car Travel
By road, Radium Hot Springs is 819km/509mi from the coast. From Vancouver, take highways 1 and 5 to Golden and then follow Highway 95 through the Columbia River Wetlands.
The closest large city, Calgary in Alberta, is 262km/163mi to the east. From Calgary, follow the Trans-Canada Highway through Banff, turn onto Highway 93 at Castle Mountain Junction and drive through Kootenay National Park to Radium Hot Springs.
Highway 93/95 follows the Rocky Mountain Trench to the south, and splits near Wasa. Highway 95 heads to Cranbrook (145km/90mi) and the US border at Eastport, ID (225km/140mi), while Highway 93 makes the US border at Roosville, MT (228km/142mi).

Cars and trucks can be rented in Invermere (13km/8mi to the south) from Mic Ridge Auto Rentals on Athalmer Road.
Winter tires or chains are essential for winter driving in this area. Avalanches can cause road closures in any of the mountain passes. Carry food and extra warm clothing when travelling in winter.
Note that the narrow road that follows Toby Creek from Invermere up to the Panorama Mountain Village resort should be approached with caution, winter and summer.
Air Travel
Scheduled air service is through Calgary International (3.5 hours driving time), and the Canadian Rockies International Airport in Cranbrook (1.5 hours driving time). Both airports offer car rentals.
Nearby Invermere has a small airport that is used primarily by private and charter aircraft.
Public Transportation
Greyhound Canada operates a bus service between Cranbrook and Calgary, Alberta, with one bus per day in each direction. Silver City Stage Lines provides daily service between Cranbrook and Golden.
BC Transit operates a service linking Canal Flats, Invermere, Radium Hot Springs and Edgewater. Taxi service is available in Invermere.
