The Quesnel Rodeo is one of Western Canada's largest amateur rodeos & has earned its reputation of being one of BC's most exciting family focused & entertaining rodeos. The roots of our rodeo go back to the 1860's during the Cariboo Gold Rush. When honest hardworking cowboys & cowgirls drove cattle to the gold fields from present day Washington & Idaho states & started the first ranches in the Cariboo. The same skills, determination, & willingness to, as they say 'Cowboy-Up' that was required by these cowboys & cowgirls, is valued & reflected by the cowboys & cowgirls who compete at the Quesnel Rodeo.
