Apart from a few unpredictable snowfalls in December and January, golfers can tee it up 365 days a year in Qualicum Beach.
The town has its own historic nine-hole course near the ocean as well as three more 18-hole layouts are within a short drive. Brochures on all the courses are available at the Visitor Centre. Qualicum's four courses are: Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club, Eaglecrest Golf Club, Pheasant Glen Golf Resort, and Arrowsmith Golf & Country Club.
Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club
The Qualicum Beach Memorial Golf Club is the fourth-oldest course in British Columbia, and is also one of the province's most scenic thanks to its oceanside setting across from the town's namesake beach. The course was built in conjunction with Qualicum Beach's first luxury hotel in 1913. In the early days, golfers were forced to shoot around the sheep, cows and deer that roamed the fairways. Today the course is known for its tight fairways and tricky greens.
