The Errington Farmers' Market offers fresh garden produce and cut flowers (in season), baked goods, preserves, plants, herbs, jewelry, cards plus so much more. All items created by local crafters. 'Make It, Bake It or Grow It!' Coffee & goodies from the coffee shop in a woodsy, friendly atmosphere. There is always live music playing in our Band Shelter & activities for kids. Market Basket Draw at noon.

The Market is Saturdays, 10:00 am to 1:00 pm, from May to September. In the beautiful Errington Community Park, 1 block past the Errington Store on the way to Englishman River Falls.

Master sand sculptors travel from all corners of the globe to participate in this remarkable competition & exhibit.

Sculptors have 24 hours over 3 days to create masterpieces from just sand & water.

The competition, which is an official World Sand Sculpting Championships qualifying event, begins with the "pound up" (when sculptors build & fill their forms) on July 12 & the winners are announced on July 14.

The gated exhibit is open to the public until August 18 & votes are taken for people's favourite sculpture.

Entry to the exhibit area is by donation (suggested donation: $2.50 per person).

The Quality Foods Canadian Open Sand Sculpting Competition & Exhibition is a world class event for Master Sand Sculptors & is an official qualifying event for the World Championship of Sand Sculpting in Atlantic City, New Jersey! Master Sand Sculptors travel from all corners of the globe to participate in our remarkable competition & exhibition in Parksville, British Columbia, Canada. Sculptors have 24 hours over three days to create their masterpieces from just sand & water (& a lot of ingenuity!)

Join us for the 35th Annual Coombs Country Bluegrass Festival. Enjoy some of the finest bluegrass on the contintent. Watch or partake in some of the best parkin' lot pickin' you've ever seen. Slow pitch jams, instrument raffle and numerous workshops on how to play bluegrass or your instrument. Performers this year include The Foggy Hogtown Boys, Mark Phillips & 3rd Generation, 5 On A String, Just Us, The Backroom Boys, The Barley Brothers, Blue Toques, Moonshiners, Riverside Bluegrass Band.

Children can enter their teams, with the eldest in the group determining the age category (ages 6 & under, 7-9 or 10-12). Up to 4 competitors per team. Excellent prizes for the best creations & all participants receive a goody bag! Many families plan their stay in Parksville around this event. Admission is free & the event is run completely by Quality Foods staff volunteers & their families. Watch the website & QF stores for pre-registration forms about 1 month before the event.

Parksville Lioness Xmas Craft Fair. 5 hourly draws - 80 crafters throught the Main Hall - Foyer - Stage - Arbutus & Gary Oak rooms There are a wide variety of crafts to suit everyone's need from Pottery - Jewellery- Knits & Crochets - Baking - Jams & Jellies - Woodturning - Ironworks - Quilting just to name a few. Hot home made lunch prepared & served by the Lioness & Volunteers in the Cedar Room Dining area. All monies raised go toward supporting the many charities the Lioness support locally.
