The Railway and Forestry Museum is a place to explore.

Climb aboard locomotives, plows, speeders, fire engines and railcars. Ever been inside a beehive burner? Tour Penny Station and relive 1915 through the eyes of the old Station Master. The museum also has an incredible selection of chainsaws dating back to 1938 as well as the really big forestry equipment used in the early logging days of Prince George. See the whole park on the Cottonwood Mini Rail ride and leave some time to learn about what's in our latest exhibit and visit the unique 'trains' gift shop.

Our galleries showcase local heritage, First Nations, natural history, science & paleontological exhibits. Visit in the Biome Gallery with our collection of live arthropods, fish, amphibians and reptiles. Play billiards on the first table in the North. Our shortest visitors will love our dino dig pit, sternwheeler play structure and water table. We feature travelling exhibitions that change with the seasons. Some days in the summer we are operating Canada's shortest railroad featuring our 1912 narrow gauge steam engine The Little Prince - call for dates and times.

Come stretch your legs and your brains; located along the Fraser River in beautiful Fort George Park. We can't wait to welcome you!
