Dining options in Prince George range from fast food chains to a smattering of white tablecloth finer dining restaurants.
Two of the classiest restaurants in town, recommended for a sophisticated evening out, are North 54 and Winston's Dining Room. North 54 offers a three- to six-course menu, a solid wine list and a private banquet area that seats up to 18 people. Winston's Dining Room, located in the Coast Inn of the North, features organic ingredients and table-side cooking.
Ethnic Eateries
Thai, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, Japanese, Irish, African, Greek and Italian restaurants can all be found in town. Cimo Mediterranean Grill, referred to as Cimo's by the locals, serves delicious pasta and has fine service.

Sweet-tooths and bakery fans should check out Pastry Chef Bakery – the baker grinds flour and makes a very good spelt bread.
For tea lovers, the Royal Empress' Tea House serves breakfast and lunch as well as morning and afternoon teas complete with homemade scones and tea biscuits. The Tea House sports a feature wall of tea with many different flavours and varieties.
Pubs and Chain Restaurants
There are a number of pubs in Prince George. Check out The Waddling Duck pub in downtown Prince George for a more laid-back pub vibe. The interior has lovely rock work, a brick fireplace and wood paneling, and the bar has live music performances on Friday and Saturday evenings. Upscale pub fare include salads, appetizers, burgers, steak, fish 'n' chips and seafood dishes.
There are also a variety of chain restaurants and fast food options from hamburgers to pizza, wraps, subs and sandwiches. Some are located in town, others just outside the city centre near the big-box chain stores.
