Pitt Meadows, along with neighbouring Maple Ridge, celebrates its culture, history, and heritage year-round through a series of colourful festivals and events.
From farmers markets to musical extravaganzas, from free theatre performances to thrilling air shows, there's something for every taste.
Pitt Meadows Air Show
The Pitt Meadows Regional Airport is among Canada's busiest in terms of take-offs and landings, and the airport gets to strut its stuff with the annual Pitt Meadows Air Show (July), as international and local flyers perform spectacular stunts. Other highlights include skydiving exhibitions by the locally based Pacific Skydivers, an antique car show, food and beverage vendors, and amusement park rides.
Caribbean Street Festival
The Caribbean Street Festival (July) is one of the area's most popular annual events, luring up to 18,000 attendees over two days. Held in Memorial Peace Park in downtown Maple Ridge, it features live bands playing reggae, calypso, and salsa music on two stages, plus street vendors, Caribbean food stalls, and rides for kids.
