Penticton offers the range of accommodations expected of a long-standing summer vacation destination.
However, the city's development as a hub for wine tourism is adding a new dimension with a crop of recent additions, especially B&Bs, catering to a different taste. Skiers and snowboarders can also find accommodations at Apex Mountain Resort.
Hotels & Motels
Penticton has a few national and regional chain hotels/motor inns spread around the city in the commercial district on the south side of downtown. These are situated near the Penticton Convention Centre and South Okanagan Events Centre, and in the north end near Okanagan Lake. There are also a couple of older, low-rise hotels downtown.
Numerous mom-and-pop style motels cluster along or just off Riverside Drive and Lakeshore Road near Okanagan Lake, and in the Skaha Beach area. Some are recently renovated, others offer budget stays. Hostel lodging is available in Penticton at at Apex Mountain Resort.

Many B&Bs have opened in and around Penticton in recent years. Stay in a modern city home or retreat to a country setting surrounded by vineyards and overlooking one of the lakes. There's also a lakeside resort with beach access, and a guest ranch near Penticton for horse lovers.
Camping & RV
Penticton is one of the few places in the Okanagan that still offers camping/RV sites close to the lakeshore. There are multiple parks in the city with full-service facilities and several more private parks on the east shore of Skaha Lake and in the villages of Kaleden and Okanagan Falls. Additional campsites are available at nearby Okanagan Falls and Vaseux Lake provincial parks.
