While there is a big mountain to explore at Panorama Mountain Village, there is an expansive wilderness just beyond its boundaries. Heli-skiing and heli-snowboarding are not restricted to experts.
Guests are asked to self-assess their skill level, based on clearly articulated criteria, and are placed with a group of skiers and riders with similar ability. All groups are accompanied by an ACMG certified guide who can offer first-timers valuable tips on powder skiing.

Here, in the heart of the Purcell Mountains, 1,100cm/433in of snow falls annually. rk is one of the few heli-skiing operations offering single day packages as part of its regular business.
rk heliski begins operations in mid-December and continues through to mid-April. Guests check in at the Heli Plex base lodge, next to Choppers Landing Restaurant & Lounge, just a short walk from the village. The company also offers a range of heli-hiking and sightseeing packages in the summer. Bookings can be made directly through rk heliski or through Panorama's central reservations.
