The Jasper-Prince Rupert train (formerly known as the Skeena) is a two-day, 1,160-km/725-mi journey that traverses Northern BC from Prince Rupert on the Pacific coast to Jasper National Park in the Alberta Rockies, with an overnight stop in Prince George.
In a west-to-east direction, the train travels through the Coast Mountains past waterfalls, rivers and totem poles and into the lakes district of the Interior Plateau before heading into the Rockies and into Jasper. This journey is renowned for its wildlife sightings.
