Dining options in New Hazelton are fairly limited, though visitors can find several tasty choices. Most sit along Hwy 16. Half of the restaurants in town serve both Western and Chinese food.
Bakeries and Coffeeshops
For a tasty, healthy, and socially conscious treat, stop at the Skeena Bakery, a block or so down the highway. It sells coffee and fresh goods that are baked daily using organic flours only. The café is run by a local, not-for-profit grassroots organization that helps people in the area with disabilities gain work experience.

Hazelton Village has a wonderful coffee shop, too. Mercedes Beans is well known throughout the Northwest, as it distributes to many other coffee shops in the area. The shop has a cozy atmosphere along with a small area selling items such as jewelry and local art.
The Cliffs/Bear Claw Lodge
For a real treat, call and reserve a spot at The Cliffs at Kispiox River, also known as the Bear Claw Lodge. The lodge is nestled deep in the woods in the Kispiox Valley and has its own private gourmet chef. It doesn't have a menu, but if visitors call ahead, they can eat here with the guests.
Farmers Market
New Hazelton has a summer farmers market on the weekends that sells fresh fruit, vegetables and home made goods. Ask at the New Hazelton Visitor Centre for more details.
