Merritt's restaurants specialize in casual fare and relaxing atmospheres – jeans are the standard dress code at most places. As well, many hotels and motels feature attached restaurants.

Casual Fare

For a taste of western hospitality and character, try the Hitch'n Post Restaurant, five minutes from downtown along Highway 8 in Lower Nicola. The Grand Pub features the expected pub offerings, plus live music. Middlesboro Neighborhood Pub on the outskirts of town, has an exceptionally varied menu.
