Caribbean Street Festival
The Caribbean Street Festival (July) is one of the area's most popular annual events, attracting up to 18,000 fans over two days. Held in Memorial Peace Park in downtown Maple Ridge, it features live bands playing reggae, calypso, and salsa music on two stages, plus street vendors, Caribbean food stalls, and rides for kids.
Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Country Fest
Families can check out sheep, goats, pigs, llamas, and more at this weekend agricultural exhibition (July), held at the Albion Fairgrounds just off the Lougheed Highway at 105th Avenue.
There are live musical performers, from tribute bands to worldbeat acts, plus monster trucks, a dog show, amusement park rides, and so on. Best of all, admission to the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Country Fest is free.

Maple Ridge Jazz & Blues Festival
Relax with the sweet sounds of local, national, and international musicians like the Shuffle Demons, Will Campa, Mark Hummerl, and the Bill Coon Quartet at the Maple Ridge Jazz & Blues Festival (August). The day-long event takes place in Memorial Peace Park, and tickets are available at the gate or in advance from the ACT (Maple Ridge Arts Centre & Theatre, 11944 Haney Pl).
Pitt Meadows Air Show
The Pitt Meadows Regional Airport is a major focus in July with the annual Pitt Meadows Air Show, as international and local flyers perform spectacular stunts. Other highlights include skydiving exhibitions by the locally based Pacific Skydivers, an antique car show, food and beverage vendors, and amusement park rides.
Haney Farmer's Market
Load up with local, organic, and seasonal produce at the Haney Farmers' Market, another Memorial Peace Park mainstay, which runs Saturdays from May to October. Look for fresh baked goods, local artisans' wares, and much more.
Christmas in the Park
Christmas lights, seasonal carol sing-alongs, and wandering entertainers make Christmas in the Park (December) a fixture at Memorial Peace Park. There's free hot chocolate, plus photos with Santa Claus for kids. The Santa Claus Parade, replete with colourful floats, rounds things out at twilight.
