With more than 40 parks and great recreational facilities for visitors of all ages, Langley offers numerous opportunities to experience nature, picnic, play, and simply relax.
Regional Parks
In southwest Langley, Campbell Valley Regional Park covers 260ha/1,322ac, with hiking and horseback riding trails in terrain that's replete with hills and valleys. There's an 1888 schoolhouse, camping opportunities, and easy access to Vista D'Oro Farms & Winery and its delicious, fresh food products on the south side of the park.
Brae Island Regional Park is on an island immediately northwest of Fort Langley, accessible by bridge across the Fraser River's Bedford Channel. Rent canoes, kayaks and bicycles at Fort Camping, an RV campsite in the 64ha/158ac park.

The island's forested terrain is rich with freshwater marshes. Hike along more than 2km/1.24mi of wheelchair-ready interpretive trails.
Located a brief walk or drive northwest of Fort Langley, Derby Reach Regional Park is a pleasant day-use park for picnicking, fishing, horseback riding, and cycling. It also has a leash-free area for dogs, and 15km/10mi of trails to hike. The 297ha/733ac park includes giant cottonwood trees, bogs, and meadows. It is the starting point for the 4km/2.5mi Fort-to-Fort Trail that runs from the original site of the Fort Langley trading post (1827) to the current Fort Langley National Historic Site next to the village.
Langley Parks
Families flock to Langley City Park (207th St and 48th Ave) for its recreation options. In season, splash it up at the water park or swim in the heated outdoor pool. Play baseball on one of the four baseball diamonds. Or enjoy a picnic at one of the 30-plus picnic tables and then let the kids loose at the playground.
For a tranquil stroll, visit Sendall Gardens (20166-50th Ave), featuring a tropical greenhouse with exotic plants, which is open from March to November. The 1.48ha/3.67ac cultivated gardens also include a duck pond, wooden bridge, and Legacy Garden, which is popular for wedding ceremonies and photos.
Head to Willoughby Community Park to check out the Langley Events Centre (7888-200 St). The 6,000-capacity arena is the home of the junior hockey Langley Chiefs and the Langley Gymnastics Foundation, and hosts basketball, lacrosse, and figure skating as well. The surrounding park includes three grass playing fields and two artificial turf fields, plus a playground and water park for kids.
