The Kootenay Rockies region has a diverse geography of high mountain passes and sweeping valleys, and is a prime snowmobiling destination in British Columbia.

From mid-November to mid-May, an annual average snowfall of 1.7 to 2.6m/5.6 to 8.6ft ensures excellent powder conditions for traversing the region’s varied terrain. An extensive network of groomed trails and untouched alpine territory offers sledders of all experience levels unprecedented access to southeastern British Columbia’s remarkable landscape.

Local operators throughout the Kootenay Rockies region provide a range of accommodation options (from suites to deluxe log cabins) and guided tour packages.
