Ainsworth Hot Springs
Ainsworth Hot Springs is set along the west shore of the Kootenay Lake, against a backdrop of the Purcell Mountains. The hot springs' natural mineral water flows from the top of a 46m/150ft horseshoe-shaped cave into pools below. Ainsworth Hot Springs Resort is open year-round, offering great accommodation and fine dining.
Canyon Hot Springs
Canyon Hot Springs are set in the spectacular Selkirk Mountains between Glacier and Mount Revelstoke national parks. Located at Albert Canyon, the springs, said to have been initially discovered by workers on the Canadian Pacific Railway, have a average temperature of 40ºC/104ºF. Canyon Hot Springs features more than 200 campsites and private log cabins are available.
Halcyon Hot Springs
Sink into the therapeutic waters of Halcyon Hot Springs, located north of Nakusp on the Arrow Lakes. The spring's four pools are a unique combination of sodium, lithium, magnesium, calcium and strontium, and vary in temperatures from hot pools at 41°C/107°F, warm pools at 35°C/95°F, and cooler/children's pools at 29°C/85°F. Fairmont Hot Springs
Fairmont Hot Springs, perched above the river on the east side of the Columbia Valley in Invermere, is one of the largest and most popular hot spring pool complex in Canada. Fairmont Hot Springs features a nearly 1,000sq m/3,281sq ft pool of curative mineral waters. Fairmont Hot Springs has a resort that offers world-class accommodations and dining, as well as access to a variety of seasonal outdoor activities, such as golfing and skiing.
Lussier Hot Springs
Lussier Hot Springs provide soothing warmth in the wilderness setting of Whiteswan Lake Provincial Park. From the Whiteswan Forestry Road take the short hike down to the Lussier River. Alongside the river and nestled among the boulders, the springs' three pools have an average temperature of 44°C/111°F.
Nakusp Hot Springs
A hidden gem found in a narrow canyon of the Kootenay Rockies, Nakusp Hot Springs' pools are set against an enchanting mountain landscape 12km/7mi of Nakusp. The spring's hot mineral waters are piped 1km/0.5mi from Kuskanax Creek, and have an average temperature of 42°C/108°F in smaller pools, and 38°C/100°F in the larger pool.
Radium Hot Springs
Radium Hot Springs, one of Canada's largest hot spring pools, is set in breathtaking Kootenay National Park, a UNESCO Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks World Heritage Site. The spectacular rocky cliffs of Sinclair Canyon tower high above the hot springs, which average a temperature of 43°C/109°F.
