Ziplining near Golden
Golden is the base for two ziplining companies. With Awesome All-Season Adventures (based out of Alberta, but offers a pick-up shuttle service from Golden), zip from 40m/131ft high, down a mountainside and across the majestic Kicking Horse River. Try the dual ziplines to zip side-by-side with a friend and reach speeds of up to 70km/43mi per hour.
Canadian Mountain Holidays (CMH) offers a zipline course at its Bobbie Burns lodge, a remote heli-skiing/heli-hiking mountainside lodge. Take a break from skiing or hiking and try a hand at ziplining across canyons and over surging rapids.
Ziplining near Revelstoke
Skytrek Adventure Park in Revelstoke combines ziplines with other elements in a high ropes course for a fun and challenging tree-top adventure. Zip through the canopy forest, or be tested on suspended bridges, swinging logs, ladders and nets. Learn about the ecology of trees, too – Skytrek’s adventure course uses only arborist-approved trees and environmentally sensitive methods.
