The Kootenay Rockies is home to some of British Columbia’s newest wineries. The Mountains and Vineyards driving route passes by some of the region’s wineries, along with national parks, hot springs, and golf courses.

Creston has two commercial wineries – Skimmerhorn Winery and Baille-Grohman Estate Winery – to complement its abundant fruit orchards and the Kokanee brewery. The temperate micro-climate of Creston is perfect for producing cool climate wines.

In Trail, west of Creston, visit the family-run Columbia Gardens Vineyard and Winery, which was the first commercial-sized winery in the Kootenays.
