For hockey fanatics, it's hard to imagine it getting any better than this. Invermere has been named the host city for this sanctioned qualifier BC Eastern Regional Pond Hockey Championships. Outdoor rinks, on either Lake Windermere or Lake Lillian, are approximately 75' x 150', nets are 6' wide and 10" tall and side boards are made of snow. It's 4-on-4 hockey with no goalies; teams can have up to 6 players.

Saturday is classic technique and Sunday is skate technique. There are lots of age categories for all events.

There are distances for all ages and abilities and awards will be presented to the top skiers in each category on both days. There are lots of draw prizes to be had. Top male & female will be awarded a special prize for the two day total time.

Fusing the disciplines of backcountry slopestyle, big mountain, cliffs and alpine ski touring, Red Bull Cold Rush will return to Canada at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. A handful of the world's premier skiers will be officially invited to battle it out for a chunk of the $36,000 prize purse awarded to the most versatile, well-rounded freeskiers.

The 2015 Burton Mountain Festival is one of the most extensive snowboard demo experiences in North America. The tour brings Burton's 2015 demo fleet with it giving riders the chance to test Burton's 2015 gear for free. The family friendly event features the one and only Riglet Park for youngsters learning to ride and a great line-up of activities, contests and entertainment. A community event for a community of snowboarders.

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Alpine Skiing World Championships is the first event of its kind to be held in Canada for either alpine or para-alpine skiing. The 10 day event will see athletes from over 30 countries compete in five para-alpine disciplines (Downhill, Super G, Super Combined, Giant Slalom & Slalom) and a team competition.

The IPC Alpine Skiing World Championships, along with the Winter Paralympic Games are the most prestigious level of international competition in Paralympic Alpine Skiing.

Raising funds for the Branch Out Neurological Foundation, the Peak to Valley Challenge is not for the timid. The friendly race involves tackling a 180 giant slalom gate course from the top of the mountain to the bottom and is open to skiers and snowboarders. World class athletes are a common sight at the event with the 2014 Challenge being organised by two time Olympian skier Brad Spence. The family friendly event also includes a post-event banquet, silent auction and the opportunity to win lots of awards and prizes.

Riders Aid will be on the mountain for the event. This is a program run by skiers and snowboarders who are focused on raising awareness and funding for the basic needs of people in impoverished countries. Many people around the world live without food, clean water, basic health care and shelter. Riders Aid wants to multiply their resources to help make a difference. It is their aim to educate & enlist assistance from the snow riding community.
