Castlegar Sunfest is held annually on the first weekend of June and the goal of the organizing committee is to stage events and provide entertainment suitable for people of all ages. The weekend begins with a fundraising BBQ on Friday at noon. The Festival in the Park opens in Kinsman Park, on hand are dozens of food and merchandise vendors and a variety of activities and entertainment to keep everyone in a great mood. The Miss Castlegar Pagean also takes place on Friday evening in the Stanley Humphries Secondary School theatre.

The 53rd Mark Creek Lion's Club Marysville Daze will take place at the Marysville Arena. A pancake breakfast starts things off at 8:00 am & is followed by entertainment that this year includes a pipe band, dancers, gymnasts & the 'Bunkhouse Boys'. There is an all new Kids Korner and a Flea Market to keep the kids & the shoppers happy. In the early afternoon, there is a pig roast and bingo. For the over 19s, starting at 9:00 pm, there will be a dance with a well-known DJ & a light display. Come & join-in this year at Marysville 2013!
