Invermere MusicFest - A Waterfront Music Festival.

Columbia Valley Arts Council will host an annual outdoor waterfront music festival on the shores of Lake Windermere this August. The stage & festival grounds will be set at Kinsmen Beach Greenspace with Windermere Lake making the Invermere MusicFest a memorable, entertaining & edgy musical experience.

The Food & Refreshment Village will feature Arrowhead Beer, Tinhorn Creek wines and a variety of reasonable priced international food & refreshments. The seating set-up is festival style so bring your own seating & blankets!

The music line-up will be confirmed in 2015 with the main stage featuring up to 6 bands & acts.

One of the Steepest Ultras in the World! An entire weekend of trail runners, expos, great food, amazing views and a really great race! TrailStoke is an off-distance, 60 km course with approximately 10,000 feet of elevation gain. Participants run from the ski hill base, to the top of the mountain, spend about 30 km running on scenic ridges and then descend back to the base.

Starting Friday evening, there will be a cruise through town at 6:00 pm, followed by a Charity Casino Night with lots of good prizes. This event is for fun, mingling and charity.

On Saturday morning, the Show & Shine Car Show takes place on beautiful Baker Street. During the show, there will be poker walks and entertainment. Trophy presentations will start at 3:30 pm, followed by a poker run.

To end things off, starting at 7:00 pm, there will be the fabulous and fun rooftop dance on top of the parkade, with music performed by a couple of great bands so get ready to dance your socks off or just sit back and enjoy the tunes.

The WaCanId is an annual bicycle tour taking cyclists on paved roads encircling the Selkirk Mountains of Washington, Canada and Idaho - hence the name WaCanId. Our 6-day event covers 350 miles/560 kilometres and showcases the International Selkirk Loop's spectacular scenery - majestic mountains, beautiful lakes, rivers and North America's longest free ferry ride. We also have the best SAG support of any ride - so if you need a lift, no problem. There will be a few climbs to challenge you, but it will be the scenery that will take your breath away.
