This summer, beginning May 11, guided hikes & walks will be led in the Kimberley Nature Park - one of Canada's largest municipal parks. Everyone is welcome but remember that most of the hikes involve some hill climbing. Please dress for the weather & bring a snack & drink. This exhibit will be viewed by a large audience of visitors and features artists from Western Canada. Artwork should reflect the theme of 'Colourful Seasons' within the context of the nature of Kootenay National Park and may be either abstract or representational. If recognizable mountain peaks, wildlife or plant species are depicted, they must be those found naturally in Kootenay National Park.

Nelson's Queen City Cruise, the city of Nelson's only car show, has continued to grow since the first cruise in 2003. Car collectors from far & wide find the appeal to show off their cars in the heritage city. Nelson offers big city cosmopolitan dining, unique shopping & lodging in the beautiful setting on Kootenay Lake. Saturday morning begins the show on historic Baker Street in downtown Nelson. Since 1972 Rossland has hosted this annual fall fair held on the weekend following Labour Day. The Rossland Fall Fair is held in conjunction with another community event Golden City Days.

Categories include fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, canning and preserving, home baking, carts and crafts, sewing and needlework of all kinds, photography, eggs, butter and honey. Hamburger stand, music and art show as well.
