This is the 31st annual one quarter Ironman triathlon held in Nelson, BC.

Swim 1 kilometre, bike 44 km and run 10 km.

The event continues to be for everyone from top-ranking amateurs to adult and youth participants who are entering for pure enjoyment.

We have an adult sprint course for people who are just breaking into the world of triathlon and team events ideal for family participation.

Draw prizes at pre-race meeting and awards ceremony.

Come and enjoy our beautiful community for the long weekend in August.

The Rocky Mountain Wakesurfing Association is pleased to announce the second annual event of its kind in Canada. Held at Lake Koocanusa, the Wakesurfing Challenge will see the world's best wakesurfers demonstrating their skills behind a beautiful Centurion Enzo 244. Along with the competition, there will be numerous events, demos and activities, food and retail vendors.

We be open at 9:00 am but the Real Piratin' begins at 11:00 am-4:00 pm. We be holdin great grand piratical games, treasure hunts, pirate quizzes, gold pannin and all manner of swashbucklin events! Thar even be plunder in it fer the best garbed buccaneer! If ye be new to the lingo of the high seas thar be a Pirate Primer to set your tongue straight.

7th Annual Elko Country Festival of Entertainers; music, humour, poetry and story tellers. 2:00 pm and 7:00 pm performances at the Elko Community Hall with full buffet dinner at 5:15 pm. Saturday Jamm session and social evening 9:00 pm-12 midnight. Pancake breakfast on Sunday 9:00 am-11:00 am followed by Cowboy (Entertainment) Church. Black Powder Shoot takes place nearby: rifle, smoothbore, hawk & knife and more. You'll love the village of Elko near beautiful Lake Koocanusa, and our fresh mountain air.
